STORY

"Marina" is the story of a simple, yet somewhat wild and fun-loving girl who makes a living driving a tourist boat in beautiful Acapulco. Her world collapses when her mother dies unexpectedly, and Marina  is forced to move into an elegant mansion owned by the Alarcon Morales', a wealthy family who is not at all prepared to welcome the humble girl with open arms. At the mansion, Marina will come face to face with evil and despise, but she will also find shelter under the kind protection of powerful multi-millionaire, Don Guillermo Alarcon Ferrer, who happens to be the girl's uncle.
It is also at this home where Marina will meet Ricardo Alarcon Morales, a young man who initially doesn't like her, but who finds it amusing to constantly provoke her in order to instill her over-the-top reactions. This sweet game eventually turns into love.
Although Marina is protected by Don Guillermo and Ricardo's affection, she has to deal with other undesirable characters, such as Veronica Saldivar, an evil woman who falls in love with Ricardo and becomes Marina's worst enemy and rival; and Alberta de Alarcon Morales, Ricardo's mother, a high-society woman who is over protective of her son and does not consider Marina worthy of his love. These two women will do everything in their power to prevent Marina and Ricardo from finding happiness together but the love that Marina and Ricardo have is strong and leads them to get marries.
When marina finds out that she is pregnant will tell Ricardo but he would not believe that the baby is his, since Veronica and Alberta will fill his mind with lies, convincing him that the baby is not his but Elias, Ricardo's brother, who is Marinas secret admire. Marina is left alone and helpless. In this hard situation Marina will give birth and will loose her mind leading her to walk around in the streets holding her baby and give it to the first woman she sees. In the next years Marinas life will become harder and she will desperately will start looking for her child even though no one believes that it exists. Destiny will play its games.
